Supervision on the Rehabilitation of the Old Bridge in Mostar 

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

This request for expressions of interest follows the general procurement notice for this project which was published in UN Development Business No514, dated 16.06, 1999 (updated in issue 539 dated 31.07.2000.).

The Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina has received a credit from the International Development Association and it intends to apply a part of the proceeds of this credit toward payments according to the contract for services of the Supervision on the Rehabilitation of the Old Bridge in Mostar. These services include:

• Checks whether the works are accomplished in compliance with the building permit and the valid regulations
• Coordination of the work of all the participants in the rehabilitation, which are in the immediate contractual obligations towards the investor
• Supervision to implement daily and in an updated manner in conformity with the dynamics of the implementation of the works
• Submission of the corresponding reports to the investor in relation to the status of the works in regard with expenditure of the means, compliance of the deadlines and the quality of the accomplished works
• Issue of the appropriate orders relating to the certain works to the contractor, in case of need of the removal of the shortcomings, with a view to the prevention of the serious consequences which would emerge due to the failure of accomplishment of those works.
• Preparation of the apropriate reports for the technical report and the participation in the procedure of the technical overview.

The project Coordination Unit of the City of Mostar now invites eligible consultants to express their interest for the provision of the services. The interested consultants must provide information, which designates them to be qualified to provide those services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of the appropriate skills among the personnel, etc.). The consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 1997 (revised January 1999).

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below from 0830 to 1630 hours (local time). The expressions of interest must be delivered to the same address by 16.05.2001 at 1400 hours.
